Default Buy New or Take it to Machine Shop?

I figured I'll have about $240 if I take my block to the machine shop and $365 if they have to align hone it. My friend just got a job at summit racing so he gets everything at cost. Would I be better off to buy the block in the link below. Would I have to have any machine work done on the new block or is it ready for everything?

It depends, what price can you get the block for?
