Default WOOHOO!! New Intake Manifold courtesy of the Alberta Government

Well, after 2 years I finally purchased my first mod! All Albertans received a $400 energy resource check, as soon as I got it I had to go down to the local Mustang shop and buy something...they had availabe, a beautifully polished Cobra intake manifold U&L for $500. I really had no idea if it was a good deal or not, but I didn't care. Free money (should I care?) So its sitting in the garage waiting for the Stang to get back from its winter home (my dad takes care of it in the offseason.) Good thing. As far as the cobra intake goes can anyone let me know how it fairs compared to others, and what kind of gain someone can expect from the stock intake? All replies appreciated....Thanks!!

Hey, that's awesome man! That's a decent price, but not great. I went from a stock intake to a GT-40E, and could notice a difference, so you should, too. Let us know when you get it installed. May as well do the CAI at the same time.

yeah congrats. You should get the CAI and even a new throttle body if your wallet allows. You will get a great bang out of it. Keep us updated when you install the manifold.

I don't get these ratings- What is supposed to happen when you pass that, you just don't take advantage of the potential power then....
It will flow that high, I promise
Hellion Turbo Setup
In that article they took a bone stock 5.0, slapped a turbo on and it churned out 400 horses to the wheels- let alone at the crank

and you got a cobra manifold at that; so it should flow even higher

Nice dude and you all should know thats 500 Canadian dollars not American! Yeah the mustang shop is a awesome place to deal with they really know their stuff! You should take the heads off and get them ported with the upper and lower intake, in BC I can send it to Lordco for free and they charge 500 to port the heads and upper & lower! Do the porting work run some 1.7 RR on that cam and that thing will be rocketing!
