Default EGR and sensor for 91 GT

guys, is it pretty simple to change this? Mine is bad, we attached one of those computer things and it came out to be the EGR valve and sensor. It causes the check engine light to go on and off. aside from smog issues does it need to be replaced?

it depends on if you have to pass smog or not if not pull all that crap out of there if so yes you need to get a new sensor
