Default How much should I be paying?

How much should I be paying for a 1989-1993 Mustang GT or LX w/ the 5.0? Doesn't matter if it is the hatch or notchback, but I would prefer a hatch(even though the nothces are lighter, I know). Also, I hear these years have forged internals in the motor stock.......so does that mean a low PSI S/C right off the bat?

i wouldnt pay more than 4000 for a stock car even if it had super low mileage..... notchs are usually more expensive..... hatches are not as expensive.... mostly the price all depends on how good of shape the car is in, etc.. but i would pay mor than 4 grand for a stock 5.0

The resale is all based off condition and what part of the country you live in. You should be able to commonly find them for $2500-sky's the limit. Average is $4k-6k though for a decent car. They aren't forged internals, they are forged pistons (which is good enough). The crank and rods will live longer than the block. 1993 had hypereutectic pistons though. Forget low boost, my friend ran 10psi on a hypereutectic motor for over 3 years and then went to 16psi on the factory Ford shortblock.

So, $4500 a good estimate at what I should expect for a quality fox? How are the fox automatics? I know a guy that is selling a mint '91 5.0 convert. w/ an automatic. I would rather have a 5-speed(because my V6 has an auto in it, and i just want one) though. What about the S/C?

Verts had NO resale. You can't give those away around here. $4500 for a vert would be insane around here. They are a dime a dozen and still won't sell. The stock AOD just plain sucks. Get a T5 car.

Haha, yeah Ford automatics blow HARD. Too bad too, I love mustangs. If I new I was going to get this involved in my mustang, I would have bucked up and taken a bite out of the **** sandwich by just buying an '00 GT and paying insane insurance. Too bad I was trying to save money and have a nice car. which worked, but my inner gearhead started to show through after this website got me. SO, now i"m gonna buy a fox. How much HP should I be expecting from a super charger on a '93? Can the '89-'92s handle around 10-11 PSI without problems too?
