Default RE: Do I need to have my car Profesionaly tuned?

I have 88 GT with the following upgrades on the next message. Made a mistake and posted to soon. I was thinking about taking it and having it profesionally tuned. I was told needed a custom chip made for it beacause of the upgrades. It has a 95 cobra computer in a 88 GT with the following mods. I had somebody else tell me you dont need to have anything done. What should I do have it tuned or order a chip or leave it be?

i think 30lb injectors are over kill for your mods, unless your adding a power adder
as far as getting a tune i say if you can afford it go for it, its gonna help your car that much more
they can probably tweak 20+ hp out of it

I just had mine done and it was well worth it. I get a little better gas milage and the car is alot smoother through normal acceleration.

thanks. What would it normally run cost wise? And will that give you a HP rating when they do that or would that have to be done seperate?

don't the 94-95 computers not act well to performance mods such as head swaps and cam?

I did a search for the computer question a while ago and saved it and this is what I got, its not too helpful about the actual computer but there are some things in there about it. https://mustangforums.com/m_688847/m.../tm.htm#688847
