RE: fuel sender gasket?
ya sorry i am in patient
ya its some kind of seal/gasket between the fuel tank. how much would a mechanic charge to put a new one in?
hes gotta drop the tank, check the straps and bolts for rust. take off the old gasket (if its even there) and replace it then put it back together. $100 sound fair??
not sure if i said it already but its for a 93 LX 5.0 its got 150k miles but the body is in very good shape and there is little to no rust that i could see from the pics (he sent me like 40 pics, very detailed)

RE: fuel sender gasket?
lol how much you think then?
normaly I would have my dad fix it for free but we're not on good terms at the moment.
if you wouldn't mind writing up a little detailed tutorial I'll give it a shot. i have no idea where **** is located on mustangs though. me and my friends look like the 3 stooges whenever we attempt to fix things lol.
thanks man

RE: fuel sender gasket?
lets see...safety first)unplug inertia/impact switch.start car till runs out of fuel in sys.
dis. battery.
put car on stands
dis hoses to fuel filter/replace filter
open gas lid three bolts there.
gets some nut buster/wd-40..spray the shi@ out of those strap bolts.
loosen them becareful you got your fuel pump/fuel sending unit plug ins above the tank
can't unplug them unless you have some small hands
i sprayed wd-40 around seal, and filler neck comes apart easier.
once you seperate those two clean it real good, and replace with new seal.
put a little wd-40 on new seal so it wont tear when reinstalling
any questions just ask.
