Default Cobra R brakes track

Ok, so I have decided to get the M2300K Cobra R brake conversion kit and was thinking of get 17x9 cobra R wheels, but ive been told that the kit actually widens the track of the car pushing the hubs further out thus 9" rims are too wide and is best to go for 17x8 rims. Can anybody confirm this??

Yeah, I looked at those but they only have 12" rotors not 13" as in the Ford kit. But youre saying the track stays the same with the Baer kit, but not with the Ford??

build your own kit. it is much less expensive, and you can use the stock track on it. the way i am doing it will not keep my stock track width on it, but im fine with that. it makes it much easier. but there is a way to do it and keep the stock track width. there are several writeups on it online, just google it
