Default underdrive pullies

I want to add under drive pullies to my 90GT. I have read pros and cons on them. Everyone says they add power but could make the car idle rough. Its only taken out on weekends and I do not race it. I have headers, off road h pipe, flowmasters and a cold air intake. Is the pullies a good add on or not.

i have them on my 89 lx. they cause the alternator to spin slower. the amp battery light is on. they say it drains battery, but i havent had a problem. at idle witht he lights on it does even go into the red (voltage gauge). i say go for it.

I have the march pulleys and the lights just dim in my car when I come to a stop, if your buying the set of three: crank, water pump, and alt, I suggest not changing the alt pulley so you dont have any kind of a charging problem. Other than that theyre definitley worth the buy.

I'd get a higher amp alternator if you get pulleys. 87-93's only came w/ a whopping 85 amps. You can get a 130-150 amp 3G alternator for not too much (under $ 170).

As for the Pulleys, go with ASP. jdsperformance.com has them for $79 for the aluminum.

Do a search on this forum....there was a thread that just covered this.
