I have heard that you can put a chevy 350 into a mustang and i have an 86 mustang lx with a 4 cylinder and a friend down the street is takin out his 350 to upgrade and would give me the motor if i could make it work please let me know how and what all has to be converted thanks!!
Why?
Going from a 4 banger to a big block can't hurt
He said his friend would "give" it to him, so let's not give him flack-
As for actually helping, I have no idea [:@]
hey i know ya it would make it a chevy i was just wanting to know if anyone knew how it would be cheaper .........if you know still let me know otherwise what is better 302 modified or 351 modified
Why would you want to fabricate engine mounts, tranny mounts and a driveshaft to get the chevy stuff in there. Seems to me, it will cost you more in the long run even though you may get the 350 on the cheap. There are enough inexpensive parts outh there to make a 351 windsor scream in a car like that without breaking the bank and you get to use all the regular tranny and drive shaft stuff let alone getting quality headers to fit a small block chevy in there. I also take it you will be going carbureted so the windsor would be a more solid choice.
