our lifters dont just go bad. they will be intact for thousandsof miles and not worry. its not like flat tappets where they wear. with our rollers they only go bad when they colapse. they can colapse at 1k in miles or 300k in miles.

P heads with stock cam uses the same lenght pushrods. i compared a explorer motor pushrod to a HO pushrod and they were the same lenght

youll be fine depending on the cam, but your springs should be replaced if you have a decent cam. but remember without port work P heads dont like over .500 lift

you can always shim your rockers if you need extra pushrod length.

I do plan on getting a different cam.....Not too sure which one tho. So it is a good idea to replace to vavle springs to run with a better cam ?
