Chop the old mufflers off and have a shop weld on some glasspacks for you , total will be maybe 60 bucks.

I had Cherry Bomb glass packs on my car before I switched from stock.

Trust me it sounds good.

Don't listen to these guys about cutting old muffs off....right after I bought my 95 GT, the mufflers broke and were hanging by a thread. I was driving home one night, and all of a sudden this loud droning was overpowering. I thought I was being bombed by a turbo-prop plane it was so loud. Get a set of nice mufflers, I have Magnaflows that are real nice, sound agressive, yet don't get too loud under load. They are strait-through, not chambered.

Gee thats funny because mine aren't that loud in the car at all. But then again mine didn't fall off while I was driving it either. My pipes go right out the back of the car so the noise(in my opinion) is minimal.

Yeah, mine broke underneath my back seats, or close to. It was horrible.

Start by hollowing out your cats if you don't have emissions testing. Then spend some money and do it right...headers, flow one-chambers (or whatever muffler). If you start hacking and cutting crap off and don't like it, your stuck.

^^ Basically.. I would just save your money and do a nice catback. Buy used.. there are TONS of people out there looking to get rid of systems.
