The E303 cam has .498 lift on both intake and exhaust and has 220 degrees duration @.050 which is a good cam for a stock 5.0 with an automatic traansmission. The B303 cam has .480 lift on both intake and exhaust with 224 degrees duration @.050 meaning the power band of this cam is a little higher up in RPM so it is best suited for a manual tranny. Both cams are very close in upper HP but the E303 comes on quicker off idle. And yes get valve springs to match.

i have an e in my car with a full gt40, car pulls fine till about 6k, the difference in total power is 5hp for actually sells two motors one with the e one with the b and they are rated @ 340 and 345hp, throw 1.7 rockers in it with the e cam and youll have same power as a be with better idle quality, atleast thats my experienc going from the b to the e in my car all other things being =

so if i get new afr heads on my engine, i should go with 1.7 rockers, and there should be no problems with piston to valve clearance.
