you know you can post this in the tech section youll get more answers and add more fluid better yet do a fluid change and make sure you use atf not ps fluid

Ford power steering pumps whine. That's all there is too it. I worked at a shop where we told a lady with a V6 'stang that, but she wanted it replaced. Whined 10x worse with a brand freakin new one from Ford. It's been said that Ford just doesn't know how to design a p/s pump. If your's doesn't whine, count yourself lucky, if it does, then decide if you can live with it, cuz replacing it might make it even worse
