Auto? thats not any fun! Im a manual kinda guy for sure. What kinda car is gonna have the parts I can pull off it?

Big boat '70's cars like Lincolns, LTD's, Thunderbirds, etc had 460's, atleast as options. Alot of '80's-'90's F350's had 460's too.
Im not sure if the big block truck manual tranny work work in a fox body or not. The cars with 460's were all auto's.

Id rather have a big small block than a 460 though. A 460 is just too heavy and you can make just as much or more power with a small block.

Id get a 351W, stroke it out to a 408, run AFR's, good intake, custom cam, and a nice 150 shot for the strip...or for when you run into a Z06 or somthin. Give us a budget though, makes it a lot easier to put together somthin that will actually work for you.

460 can fit, Jegs has the whole kit, you can stroke a 460 to a 500-600CI
an aftermarket 460 block can be bored and stroked to 806ci. now thats a big motor for a fox. here is one of the kits http://www.rpmmachine.com/ford-460-806-stroker.shtml im sure many other people have them as well.

dam 806ci, thats just rediculaus!! I dont need all that to have the baddest in car in my town...looks like it would take a bit to put a 460 in there so ill just go with will fit asis. Its hard for me to give you a budget. I live in a hardcore redneck town where we have a 10 derbys a year and 20 wrecking yards, and a million hidden treasure's in these old peoples barns. I got the 91 lx I got for 2 pioneer speakers, my buddy got a old 60's stang with the straight six, 3 speed tranny for 500$, and then drove it home! so I can find just about any car and use it for parts, im not gonna have 3k$ for major parts, but I can find a used one gurantee....that 351w sound pretty popular, what old cars/trucks is gonna have one of those and if its a truck is there anything else I can pull out for my car?

'80's- '90's F250's, F350's, E250 vans and E350 vans are the most common sources of 351 W's.

nice, thx PJB. That will be no porblem at all. Do you know if I can use anything else outta thetruck I pull the motor? Also I have about 2k ill be able to spend on this car this summer, So if you can give me a few spots that will need that money im all ear's. Id like to make this car a bit rally. I know where all the cops stops are in my town so i only slow down for those besides that im driftin corners and haulin thru straight aways. My car asis is starting to make some funny noisies, i think im ready for a new rear end asap. Can you plz reccommend an ideal donor car for that.

You say you some cash but not enough to rebuild the top half.Just do this take your stock block and add a custom cam, good rockers, L/T headers, 4:56 gears, with 26x9.0x15 MT slicks and normal bolt ons.Leave at 5500 and shift at 6000 and you will go mid 11s on motor for sure trust me Ive been there and done that 17 yrs ago.A custom cam will cost you about $300 also worth the money.

Id grab the computer and as much of the wiring as possible if you plan on keeping a fuel injected setup.

You can swap to an 8.8 anytime you want. You have the weaker 7.5 now. Get v8 springs when doing the swap.
I had no idea this was a 2.3 car youre doing a conversion on.
You'll need to get a v8 tranny when you do the swap to a v8 too. I know some people use the 4 banger t5 but in reality its not going to last long behind a v8.
The front struts and spindles are different on a 4 banger car too. Since you will most likely want to put v8 struts in it that would be a good time to do a 5 lug swap using '94-'95 spindles and '87-'93 v8 struts. You can swap the rear to 5 lugs using Ranger axles and drums.
