AOD or C4
well im sure the c4 will hold up great. the aod wont take to transbreaking and alot of dragging with out having to be rebuilt after a while. i just dont kno how long and how much it will take. i got to drive 2hrs to the track so a c4 really isnt an option in my case. when or if i tear up my aode i will be going to a c4.
I actually came across this yesterday, and its interesting because the guy ran 13's with an aod with hardly any bolt-ons. he also removed the accesory belt, wow.

Either trans can be built to withstand 1000+ hp. But it cost A LOT. What I would do if I were you is, since you already have the C4 and it doesnt need anything, slap that in there for the time being. Then you can take your time and have the AOD built right, mind you itll cost a pretty penny.
Ive run both in my ranger, the C-4 fried after 20 miles. The friction material just blew apart [:@], looked liek mud in the pan. I put the AOD in and it works well but since has developed leaks (front pump seal, pan gasket). The only sucky thing with the AOD was adjusting the TV cable, its not hard just tedious.
