Should I hook up the origional ground that came off of the battery on the frame? I can chop off the post connector and put on a new clip? Maybe that has something to do with it?

Yea the Taylor setup is nice but too expensive in my opinion. I think I paid like $170 or something like that for he Tayor kit with the 1 gauge cables. If I were you I would just buy the box and the cables from them and than get the rest of the stuff yourself. This may not be exact but off the top of my head this is what you need.
Box
Positive/Negative Cables
2 pieces of threaded rod (any hardware store)
hold down for battery
2 wingnuts
6 lock nuts
vent tube
and I think thats it

Well after seeing the fine job PRO did, I had to come up to the challenge and do it for myself! The total project took around 3 hours and works like a champ! The biggest part was running the + wire and routing it correctly and getting a good clean ground. I put the cut off switch behind the tag and is clearly marked with the ON / OFF for the track techs. The only problem I encountered was the top of the plastic cover cracked in half...CHEEP PLASTIC from summit. Ran a venting line from the box into the filler neck area of the gas tube. Then I mounted the AL6 where the battery went. It all came together pretty good. Let's see if 30 lbs off the front makes a bit of difference?
