i was just going to say holley 570 street avenger (btw demon is a holley design). also, ditch that performer intake if you havent paid for it yet and grab a weiand action plus (not the action +plus). its a much better intake, idle-6000 range and makes more power than the edelbrock units in dyno comparisons

the air gap is awsome, but since hes talking performer which is lower power range than the airgap thats why i suggested the wieand piece.

i have a performer RPM right now, but if / when i go to buy another intake i will get a weiand action plus if its a idle- up motor, or a performer rpm airgap if its a 1500-6500 motor, and really - that airgap will run up higher than 6500 and still be making gobs of power, cause even my non airgap rom would zing up to 7k with a quickness

My car is a freak, it runs better with the performer then it did with the RPM. I did do some port work to match the AFR's, but the car was slower with the RPM. If you aren't planning on racing it, I'd go with the performer. It'll be real crisp off idle on up. Do you have smog testing? You may not pass the visual without the EGR.
