Pull The motor?

Pull The motor?
I'm doin a wire tuck and repainting my engine bay, would it be worth it to pull the motor to make it easier to deal with piainting and what not? If I already have my whole harness disconected, how longs it take to get the motor and trans out? I was thinkin if I do end up pullin it out I'll use that as my excuse to clean up the motor and paint a few things on it too. I can't drive again till aug. 30th so I figured I might do some stuff. Only problem is I don't have an engine hoist so I'd have to rent one or find somebody to loan me one.

RE: Pull The motor?
Just yank the motor. I can pull my engine and trans in less than an hour.....but I dont have all the BS fuel infection has. And renting a cherry picker is relatively cheap. Probably something along the lines of $25 a day. And yes itll make it WAY easier to do anything you need to in the engine compartment, especially if youre repainting it.

RE: Pull The motor?
ic. Well if I decide to do it, what can I put the engine on so I can still work on it when it's out? I don't have an engine stand either[8D] I'd like to just pull, then take the hoist back, take my time workin, then when I'm ready to put em back together go rent it again. Whatever I put the engine on I need to be able to get at it so I can paint it.
