Default Intake problems-port mismatch-Need Help( with PICS)

Just set my new edelbrock intake down on top of my heads and the ports dont line up at all. The bolt holes do, but the intake and heads are definately not happy together. The intake sits above the blue bead on the intake gasket. What do you all propose i do to fix this problem?
Thanks

What manifold is that, Torker II or Vic Jr? And what heads? And have you torqued the manifold down? It'll compress the gasket and settle once you torque it down

AFR 185cc heads on a DSS 331 stroker. I called DSS and they said that the block was just decked enough to clean up the head surface-I wouldnt even call it decking. Anyway, i took the gasket out ,FelPro 1262, and then set the intake manifold back in place. The distance in the front of the manifold between the intake and block is .05. The ditance in the back is .10. The distance between the intake lining up with the port is also .10
I spoke with a machine shop and they want to mill it down .15 on both sides. Perhaps that will work, but i think it will make the distance between the front of the manifold too close if they dont mill that surface as well. Perhaps i am wrong.

I wouldn't take .150 a side...that is over a 1/4 of an inch total. Take the intake off, measure the distance betweent the base of the heads, then measure the width of the base of the intake. Measure the gasket thickness, then add .050 to that then add the width of the intake and see what the difference is from the width of the heads. Do a little math and figure it out right.
