Mahle are good pistons but they are a little pricey. Probe Industries are good pistons too. What are you doing with the car, keith black pistons aren't bad and are affordable.

I have Mahle's in mine, they are VERY good quality, very strong, and very light weight. However, a piston/ring package starts at around $600 and just goes up. It depends on what you wanna do. If you wanna use boost/spray and not have to worry about pistons(as long as you don't detonate and fry them that is) then Mahle's, or others are good. For a mild budget build they may be waymore than you need. They are a good weight saving piston though. I'm running SBC stroker pistons and 5.7" Scat SBC rods though, so the piston/pin setupI'm usingis 85g lighter than the Ford 5.09 rod pistons also from Mahle

If you're going with a forged crank/rods might as well get really good pistons like the Mahles, then if you do go spray you don't have to worry about a flimsy piston. You'll need a ring filer though, all their piston ring packs are file to fit, and make sure if you plan on doing boost or nitrous that you give them enough gap

If money is not an issue you could go with these. They are excellent.

When you're ready, I can get you the everything in kit form and it will save you quite a bit of money. I sell Scat and offer several different brands of pistons as upgrades including Mahle.
