what should i do to get ready for the track
Yeah, be careful with 240sx's. My buddy is building an all motor 300hp KA24de and some other friends have 500+ hp 240's that look completely stock.
Let me know what you run since we have almost identical cars!

i dont know the rules for sure, but i know the helmet rules are different for verts.
i believe you have to have one, regardless of your times.
be prepared to be kicked off the track if you dont have one.

If he's running below 14 (probably not) he'll need a rollbar too.
Some quick things you can do to help though. First, don't go there with a full tank of gas. That **** is HEAVY! Next, empty the trunk. No spare, no jack, no nothing. Next get a timing gun or borrow it from someone. Then raise your timing to about 16 - 18 degrees BTDC. If you go that high you may need to mix in a little racing fuel from the track. But you should be able to at least get away with 14 - 16 degrees on 93 octane pump gas.
That should shed a little time off your numbers and it's all free (except for buying race gas.)
