door panel remodeling

creekrat said to get a 4x8 3/16th sheet of harboard but i called all local hardware and lumber stores and all they carry is 1/4th and 1/8th. would any of these work?

get 2 1/8ths and glue/screw them together and sand off a 1/16th??
