Had that problem with HPM connectors on my 93. Had the car on a lift, heated the subframe connector with an acetylene torch and bumped it up with a transmission jack. Weld with the tranny jack in place. Good luck.

How are you test fitting them? The best method is to have the weight of the car sitting on the wheels. If you jack the car up and use stands or jacks to hold the car, it will not sit naturally as it does on the road.

if you have body sag you are supposed to jack it up by the sub frame to allow the weight of the car to straighten itself out. go on a flat surface, measure the distance between the ground and the front of your quarter panel, back of the fender to the groundand the middle of the door to the ground. if the are all the same or within the 1/4 inch body standards than you dont have sag and your connectors are off. if the middle of your door to the ground is lower than the other two measurements you have body sag.

Mine were curved when i held them up to the floor, what i had to do was put a jack under them to push it up enough to get the bolts through, then used the nuts to tighten it down against the frame.

And like mentioned make sure the car is sititng on it's tires, like on a drive on lift.
