they are basically the same, but you have to remember the fox has been around from 1979 thru 1993. Quite a few more years than the 2 years for the sn95. Quite a few parts will work with either set up, but not all.

RE: fox 5.0 vs. 94 5.0
The stock 94/95 5.0 intake manifold was used from the t-bird parts bin, it is very restrictive, I found this out when I switched to a Cobra intake and my car gained alot of power just from swaping intakes. It is my understanding the 94/95 computers are alot more sensitive to modifications so any serious changes like heads and a cam would require a custom tune.

RE: fox 5.0 vs. 94 5.0
basically they are the same drivetrain..but with some differences. different computers, intake design due to the difference in engine baydesigns, the input shaft on the trans is longer in the sn95...
as far as the fox having more of an aftermarketisthe fox has been around longer and theres a bigger market being they were made for alot more years then the 5.0 sn95 and there is a bigger following....
both are great cars and you cant go wrong with either... .

RE: fox 5.0 vs. 94 5.0
The motors are the same but the timming cover and water pump are different. The pulleys are not the same. The transmissions are not the same the main shafts are longer. The best thing to do is convert the 94-95 into a 87-93. There are more parts out there at a cheaper price and the supercharger kits are cheaper also. If you install the older style intake and throttlebody you will pick up 3-5 mph in the quarter. All you have to do is get a 97-93 throttle cable and I have the wiring diagrame for the throttle position sinsor because the coolrs are not the same. The SN95's computers suck beause they take timming out when you shift when you are over 3500RPMs so you do not damage the transmission on power shifts and the computer is not very agreasive. I own a 95 and I have made all these changes and it made a world of diffence in how my car runs. I have a tremic 3550 trans with an edlebrock RPM2 port matched, AFR heads ported, DSS 306 short block built, and my car is like a 87-93 all the brackets and the powersteering pump was reused but all I had to is get the older brackets andI useda Paxton charger and brackets also off the 87-93s. I hope this helps you and if you need anything look at my website www.cundnracing.com or feel free to give us a call 281-636-7142
