Got the Mustang...question on bringing a car to the track.
I want to race my car at a track a few times, but was wondering what the whole deal with this is. How do you go about racing your car at like a local track and can anyone do it? Ijust want todo a straight drag race. Just a little insight on this procedure and stuffwould be great. Thanks in advance.

Well first you call and ask them when they have a test or tune or a safe street night or something like that. All you do is pay your fee and fill a tech card out and make sure you wear pants and if you are running in the 13s you have to have a helmet. If you do not know what the car runs then you could get kicked out if you run to fast and you do not have the proper safety equipment. Most of the time the people are very helpful and you may watch the cars in front of you to see what they are doing. When you pull up you will have to turn both light on at the top of the tree on your side and wait for the other person to do the same and with in 3-5 second the lights will fall. When you see the last yellow light turn on and start to turn off you nail it even before the green light turns on so you will cut a perfect light, because it takes some time for your car to react. I hope this helps you and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask. CUNDN RACING

Also some other little things to think about. Make sure you wear long pants, bring some money for a bag of ice to cool down your intake between runs, lower your tire pressure to whatever works best for you (somewhere around 18-20 psi usually for street tires). And take your time with your runs and get used to the proicedure. Its not about how many runs, but how good your runs are. Good luck.
