prep work in fiberglass hoods(h.o fibertrends)
just wandering what everyone is using to prep there fiberglass hoods for paint??? i just got my h.o. fibertrends hood and it looks awesome alittle higher then 3" but i like it alot and looks like there is going to be very little prep work but i need to get it in sealer b/c the car is going for paint on monday....

It all depends on how rough it is. When my hood arrived, it was rough out of the box and required some slight wet sanding with a block to make it smooth. I also used a fiber fill primer and it evened it out real well. I thought it came out great. I hope I answered your question.

never mind guys i got it all in sealer didn't need much prep at all just had to sand the gelcoat alittle to get the sealer to stick...but its ready to go for paint monday...
