Fiberglass Cervinis for 8 years, no pins, no problems. Did leave the hood unlatched once and at about 40 MPH the safety caught it.Without the safety I would have been sick.

you should be fine without the pins- I have a cervinis as well, it worked fine. I just installed the pins though- needed to spice it up a bit. either way, Im sure you will be fine. I just like the looks of the pins and the extra safety, not that my slow azz 5.0 needs it anyway

Generally the best way to keep your hood from flying off is...

DONT BE AN IDIOT... CLOSE YOUR HOOD BEFORE DRIVING!

I have hood locks on mine, I like them because they blend in with the car!

1/4 turn fasteners FTW. cleanest look by far and they look more unique

I have pins on my fiberglass hood. I needed them because my latch was shot.
I think it makes it look badass.

i recently installed some pins on my cervinis 4' lift hood because my factory hood latch took a dump on me at 60 mph smashing threw my windshield, and snapping my hood hinges. but through the experience i went through i stand by my hood lol it chipped up alittle from the impact but still strong as ever great quality hood!

Just don't forget to take that quart of oil out of the filler neck before dropping the hood!
