ignition coil...

Default ignition coil...

has anybody had a ignition coil go out just like that or "slowly" go out? what were your symptoms?

Over the many years (40+) I've had them do both.
Check that wire connections are clean/tight.......

Had my F-150 do some crazy sh8t on me one time. I thought it was the coil, but ended up being the little tiny roll pin that keys the reluctor ring onto the dizzy shaft! That one took me a few days of hair pulling to figure out! LOL

If you think its bad check the resistance of the primary side of the coil (12 volt side) and it should be between .5-3 ohms. Then check the secondary side (high voltage side), it should be between 30,000-60,000 ohms.
