Default Your Opinion on Possible Purchase

http://columbus.craigslist.org/car/412986990.htmlHey guys just wanted to get your opinion on if this is a good deal and what you think it would take money wise to finish the car. The front is in primer due to minor accident guy assures me there is not major damage to car. The paint is not concern to me since i can do that myself.
Thanks Shawn
Just spoke with the original owner of the car on the telephone and he states that the car has a b cam and 1.6 roller rockers it did have a trickflow intake and 70mm maf when he owned the car but he took these parts off for another car when got rid of the notch.

That car looks and sounds like it needs a full rebuild so if you are looking for a car you can put alot of time and money in than it is for you. You don't replace the whole front for a "minor" accident and the description of the car does not make the owner sound like a person who does repairs correct. (24lb injectors with Factory MAF) Since it is in OH you need to look for rust and make sure the floor is not almost gone. Good luck if you do buy it.

Yellow93lx this guy took the car on trade from a friend his son then wrecked it into a sign it was he is claiming I am thinking it was more like something big but anyway I have an uncle that owns a bodyshop so that is not a concern. The motor stuff is more my concern this is going to be a project that i planned on tearing down the motor what i am looking for is how much do you think it will cost to finish the motor if what is listed is what is truely there.
Thanks Shawn

For some odd reason the link is only working for me. However you guys are correct he did remove the car from craigslist becuase he knew that i was interested and did not want to sell before i could come and look at it. I am hoping that this thing is not junk. I want a notch and if this is junk i am going back to my original plan to buy a clean 4 banger and swap it.
Thanks Shawn

The link works fine for me. If you are willing to do a 4 banger swap than you are ready to put some time and money in a car and it looks like it will be a good starting point for the price. You would have to give that much for a 4 banger so already having a 5.0 will have you halfway there.

That is what I was kind of thinking in the first place. I know that this is going to be a project and I am prepared to take upwards of a solid year to complete this car, but when it is done it will be nice and hopefully a pretty stout sleeper.
Thanks Shawn
