Coolant hose question:

Coolant hose question:
We noticed when pulling the top end of this car apart to rebuild it that someone previously had plugged the coolant line going into the upper intake manifold.. Put a bolt in and clamped where it is T'd off near the front of the car, and put a bolt in near the back of the car for the return hose. Anyone know why someone would do that? Thats a necessary line isnt it?
The car looks like it was setup for drag.... skinny's in front big in the rear and the suspension feels like it. Only thing I can think of is to help the motor heat up quicker..

RE: Coolant hose question:
you are correct. the coolant line that runs through the TB and down to the manifold is to heat the incoming air to quicken the warmup process and lower emissions while warming up
