Default 0-60 compared to horespower

ok so i realize that there's a lot of factors that effect 0-60 times but if i had a decent suspension and decent driver what are the rough numbers in a 88 LX for say 0-60 in 6, 5.5, 5, 4.5, and 4 seconds?

I believe a stock 0-60 time is around 6.5-7 seconds lol

0-60 means nothing

1/4 time is where the respect is won

ford claims the new GT's does 0-60 in low 5 seconds. my car runs just as fast a new GT at the track, but i know it dosnt do 0-60 in 5 seconds..

14.4 is a lot slower then a new gt. A low 5 second 0-60 is noramally a high 12 low 13 second car.

You should specify Mustang GT, at first I thought you meant the Ford GT, and I was wondering how you thought your car was faster than a mid engine 550hp beast. [8D]But yeah, 1/4 is where it is, 0-60 is too short to really judge anything. I mean seriously, 0-60 and I've barely got into 2nd gear(yes, my gearing IS that tall, I hate it). 0-60 prolly helps sell cars, but the stint for that is so short that it's hardly a good way to compare the performance of 2 vehicles...unless you'rea ricer and you're doing 60mph in the 8th
