Custom Headliner?

Custom Headliner?
So, I need a new headliner right? I buy one with a sunroof cut out online. Get the headliner and it looks good, but it doens't fit. I find out later that my 91 Fox didn't come with a sunroof. It's an after market (power) sunroof. So I need a headliner.
Anyone here ever had to make one or know how to make one?

RE: Custom Headliner?
I recovered my own. You can go to pep boys and buy a headliner kit to recover your old one. I think they are around 50 bucks.
You can also go to a fabric store and get headlinder material by the yard, then buy some good 3M adhesive spray to adhere it.
Pretty easy to do, remove your old head liner from car, either pull the oldfabric off the liner or go over top of it if it is in good shape(that is what I did, I was changing the color) follow the directions on the adhesive spray and glue the new fabric on, then trim to size, reinstall.

RE: Custom Headliner?
Man that's good advice. I wish I had asked the question earlier.... I bought me a new headliner w/ sunroof cut out from Fox Resto and threw out the old one. I wish I hadn't done that. The new one didn't fit cause I have an aftermarket sunroof. So I now need to make a new headliner. Can I also get the backing for the sunroof from pepboys?

No, you can't get the backing, you will have to use the new headliner you have already. You just trimthe original backingto fit around the sunroof, stay about 3" back from it is it is an aftermarket one(I also have an aftermarket one) After you have the old one cut out to fit, lay the new material on top of it and cut the hole out in the middle, but leave an extra 5" or 6" so when you put it back in the car you will have enough to tuck it back in around the sunroof. You leave the backing cut back under the liner so you can't see a step in the fabric where the backing stops.
Here is a picture of mine after it was done(I did retuck that spot by the sunroof that is loose after I took the picture....)
