Yup, even the factory terminals are exposed inside and submersed in the tank.

Also, you'll want to be sure your gentle pulling the old assembly out so you don't knock the pick up sock off into the tank... you have to do some tricky manuvering to carefully fish the assembly out.
And on a side note, the aftermarket pumps will only fit the factory ford housing assembly. If the fuel pump assembly has been replaced with an aftermarket one, the new pump won't fit the housing without some creativity.

gasoline does not conduct electricty.. so dont worry about it. you may have to shorten the wires on the new pump so it fits better. but just make sure the wires are crimped so that the wire is not exposed so it wont create a spark.. when i got mine it came w/ a pre bent fuel hose but i didnt use it cuz the stock one was straight and the bent one wouldnt have fit. so i just re used it

sweet guys now one more thing what about when u get it all hooked up when u turn on does it prime the lines itself or do u have to bleed any air out?
