STP correction just means the dyno adjusted the numbers for current air temps and such.

365rwhp is not bad out of a 351W
Thats about 450hp at the flywheel. Decent power from a street 351 if you ask me.

I'm making about the same.
I would say your cam specs are what are holding you back more than the 1 3/4 LT's
Power adder cams always make an N/A sacrifice to get the most of the power adder.
are you suggesting his drivetrain uses 85hp? o_O

what are the cam specs?... and any clue as to what the spring specs are?

theres this other site i like to go onto for some really really good info... unfortuanitly if i try to post it here, its looks like this www.sbftech.com. hit me up on aim if you have it (disturbed26888)... theres a cam section there and the info is ****in awesome... camshaft inovations is who basically runs that small section on the forum. and jay knows his ****... hell surley be able to tell you if your cam is not good for ur motor, of if its your hold back... and ive never seen a bad review from someone who has a CI custom grind cam...

ive seen it said before, and the more i look at it the more i see it as tru... dont build the car for nitrous, build it N/A, and then spray it... unless it never runs on nitrous, which doesnt sound like your case... i was looking at "nitrous cams" but then realized... 60% of the time, ill be running n/a... and only spraying while at the track, or racing something that actually has *****...

i really suggest checking out the site im takling about... i wish i could post it here...

lift with 1.6 rockers is 588/622. I run 1.7 RR, that brings lift to 625/661. Duration @ .050 is 246/259. I have no idea about springs. It doesn't want to pull past 6200, and the tuner said with a mech. roller there should be more there and he suggested looking into springs also.

Well, a couple of things. First if your header opening is SMALLER than the port on the head, and the header is actually occluding the port, that will kill an asston of power by blocking exhaust flow. It'll contaminate the cylinder since all the exhaust can't get out, and lower the volumetric efficiency of the motor all the way around. And secondly, it does sound like springs. Do you have a printout of the dyno? If so, what does the torque curve look like up high? If it's making good smooth torque and then around 6,000rpm torque suddenly starts to fall off radically, that definately says springs. I'm assuming you have larger fuel line, and if power dropped off from lack of fuel it woulda show on the afr.

Yes a solid roller should pull well above 6k.....My hyd roller pulls to 6400 and starts floatin with wore out springs....usually a decent 1.550 double with an installed height of around 2.0 will net 225 closedand 525 to 550 open...springs usually dont last very long on big solid rollers unless you spend bIG bucks on a good set....I use to buy the herbert cheapies and switch them every 2 seasons,,...usually all they would last...7400 rpm and 600 plus H.p...diff sounds like springs though....andfix that exhaust port problem.....

Torque from 5200-5800 is around 330. It drop's to 315 @ 6k. And drops steadily to 6500, at 6450 it drops to 238. I will be checkinginto springs and headers this winter and probably leave cam alone. Thanks for all the help guy's. If anyone has anymore suggestionsor wants to verify what everyone else say's it would be appreciated.

I am def doin the springs as you suggested, it just makes sense. I took engine out a few months ago to get it machined for a onepiece rear main. When i matched the header gasket to exhaust ports it line up perfect horizontilly but gasket was too small at the top of exhaust port. I measured it at the time, but have forgotten. The difference was pretty significant though. Thanks for all your help man. I do appreciate it.
