Default help with paint

this winter i am painting my mustang and i was wondering what i should do with the trim and such. I have the car stripped rite now but, the gt moldings are not the easiest thingto take off and i would not want to ruin the paint by flexing them when i put em on and stressing the paint. should i prime everything and then put the bumpers and trim back on and then paint or do them seperate with the flex additive and then assemble the car after. this is my first paintjob so any suggestions will help. thanks.

Paint things separately, and then reattach them after the paint has dried throughly.

I sent my car to the painter with all the molding off and he took it from there , prepping and painting the different moldings. When I got my car back I put all the molding back on and I never had one problem stress cracks. As far as prep work on urethane moldings I know that different manufactures have different methods because there was a prep sheet in the box with my Cervini Stalker telling whoever was going to do the prep work to follow these instructions.

Btw. if you already have the door moldings off make sure you remove thethin metal pieceon the back side from the molding, otherwise you'll never get the moldings to lay flat.
