Just wondering whats your fox does when trying to put it in reverse. Because when i go straight from neutral to REV its grinds and is kinda a pain to engage. but if i go from 1st or 5th to REv is goes in fine? does anybody elses fox do that?

Yes reverse isn't synchronized, so it requires you to hit 1st or 5th to slow the cluster gear down, then rev will engage.

Correct. Reverse is not synced.

And to solve the noise problem, it has to do with how the teeth are shaped on the gears. on 1-5, they are at an angle like \\\\\\\\ and on the reverse gear, they are up and down, like lllllllll . for some reason it causes the sound
