does anyone have a idea what times and how much horse power this combo will run and make

85 gt, stock gt-40 heads, e303 cam, stealth intake, holly 600 carb, t-5 trans, 3.55 gears

 

mid 13's and probably 250 rwhp....with a performer 289 and edl 600 and performer cam 448/472 and ported stock e7te heads and 3.73 gears and roller rockers I ran a best of 13.47 @99mph but alot of it will depend on driver ability too

 

id have to say a little higher.. maybe a 13.7 or .8 ish. jus imo.

 

i say for that, 250 MAYBE 260, and yea mid/low 13(DRIVER DEPENDING)

im doing differant cam(comp cams, a little bigger) and intake(gt40), and a little more gear(3.73)... shootin for 270 and high 12s... just something to think about...

im also efi, so that may play a differance

i dont know **** about carb set ups, so i cant comment on the carb

i can say, the e cam will be fine, but you could do better(seen gt40 set ups w. e cam hit 260 before)

 

13's would be cool my 79 capri with e7 heads, 3.73 gears, comp cam 268 non roller , c-4 with 2000 stall, performer intake with 600 holley ran 14.50, andon the freeway it sucked to much gear,so 13's would be a nice jump, and with the t-5 i can get down the highway

what was your mph??? and 60 foot???

 

slow 88mph, on paper it wassupposeedto hit 13's traction wasn't any trouble don't know what happened, run 15 flat same mph before the gears and stall

 

feel lucky if you got a 14.50@ 88mph....you'll need alot more mph to get better times
sounds like the motor was fairly stock....?? also you'll need more than a 2000 stall to get that car off the line quicker...with a mild cam I'd put at least a 3000 in it

 

holy **** how are you only gettin 88mph?!? my car is stock except what is in my sig (full exhaust and 3.73s) and i trapped 97mph w/ a 14.1 1/4 and 1.992 60'

 

don't remeber my 60 foot time must to have been good, i was shifting at 5500 rpms and at the end of the quarter in drive it was5500 rpm, sometimes i would beat a car that had a faster mph i had 2in exhaust with dyno mufflers off of heddman shortiesthe capri is history now sold itabout 6 years ago, hoping this 85 can get in the 13s
