ALARM????

RE: ALARM????
I had a CrimeGuard from got it from Crutchfield (the stereo company) in one of my other cars, had it in there for like 6 years now, no problems with it. It's pretty basic, makes noise, and electronically cuts off the ignition. I never looked at Best Buy, or Circuit City but I did look at Audio Express and there Cheapest Alarm that DIDN'T even have an sort of ignition kill started at $175.
I will be going with a Crime guard again for other vehicles. There like $99 bucks, and it's worth it to spend like another $40 for the wiring harness thing for under dash, supposedly makes the install easier. Good Luck.

RE: ALARM????
to be honnest dude, i would go with a viper system, i have a viper 591vx system. Which at the time was the highest end system you could pick up from them. But thats mainly because I get a discount on them and picked it up installed for about $200. But the viper systems are upgradable, you can pick up expansion modules for them such as proximity sensors, upgraded shock sensors, window rolldown kits, upgraded remote starts. Plus they're good systems. If your going to go with anything dont get a audiovox though.

RE: ALARM????
Have a shop do it, that has certified installers with modern alarms.
A fox needs a battery backup, 2 zone perimeter radar sensor with paging alert.
Otherwise, a tow truck will just tow the car away without you ever knowing.
The main alarm defeaters are tow trucks, micro code scanners, applying electric shock to your chassis, and using EMP to destroy the capacitors inside of the alarm.
I use a $20 driveway alert system, with the second receiver at my neighbor's house when im gone.
If the car gets broken into, or lifted, im alerted. There is no way possible to do anything without the PIR sensor activating.
If you even push down on the car one inch the sensor falls off the edge of the cluster and pages me.
The second PIR is in the garage hidden in a flower pot to let me know your there when im sleep
