oh god... i had a 31 which is low EVP voltage.. it ended up being a faulty MSD blaster coil.. it still gave spark and all but not nearly what it should. it was a little over a year old when it crapped out. so if you have an MSD coil try switching it out to the stock one. havent had n e problems since.

Define the type of race you 2 are having.

A steep gear will give you an edge off the line if you are hooking up but gears will not make more power.

Example. Gears help et but doesn't change MPH.

BTW, I love tall geared cars for roll ons.

I had a problem with my EGR valve when I got my car, take it off and spray carb cleaner all inside. It cleared my check engine light. Although I didn't have a performance issue. But its cheap, easy and worth a shot.
