Default Cold weather

So when its really cold out my car cranks over really slowly at like 1 revolution per second. After i drove it to a gas station about a mile away and filled up on gas, the car didn't start it cranked over slowly once or twice. Had to jump it and drive it back home. Dead battery?

I thought it was bad battery as well. Shouldnt be anything wrong with charging system, right?

When it's colder, the battery has less power (like splash explained). That means if it was kinda borderline in the first place, the cold will make it pretty bad. It's probably not the charging system.
