Default using eecIV scanner

i just bought a eec iv scanner. i do not have to insrtuctions for it though. is it fairly simple?

depending on what model you bought..you probably can do a web search and download instructions ..but you should just have to hook it up to the diagnostic port and if the scanner has leads to attach to a 12v source to power up the scanner..then procede in that manner and once the scanner boots up..it may ask you to punch in year make and or model and after that it'll send you to the diagnostic mode where you should be able to run a koeo or koer test to pull codes and it'll tell you from there what to do usually

3145 model of what??? brand..I'm used to using the old snap on brick and more so now I use the MODIS and or an old OTC scanner...also we have a MASTERTECH...but all of these are expensive top of the line scanners
