No sound from new head unit

Default No sound from new head unit
i finally got my new headunit hooked up in my 87 GT. Its a kenwood and i am pretty sure i hooked it up right. The unit powers up and everything works on it but no sound comes out of the speakers??? if anyone knows what might be the problem please let me know!

It might have something to do w/ the amp in the dash. I had the same problem w/ my wifes car. Never pursued it, I put the stock head unit back in it.

There is a factory amp under passanger seat. You need an adapter or wire each speaker direct to head unit

Thanks eveyone who relpied...little did i know that my car had a factory amp so i just re-woired all the speakers to the new head unit...works great!
