I've got a set of BBK's, with my 3g alt I haven't had a single problem, and the water pump is just fine. You can usually find used sets on stangnet.com or corral.net Worth the $40 I paid.

I have underdrives with the same issues. Discharging at idle.

Thoughts on the matter. So what. I only idle at red lights and in bumper to bumper traffic. 95% of time my engine is running, it's not idling. The 5% of the time it's discharging has never killed my battery or ran it low enough to be a problem.

This is from a true daily driven Mustang. AC, rear window defrost and a regular alternator.

MAC aluminum U/D pullies. Stock radiator. Imperial 18 inch flex fan(not electric).

After beating the **** out of the car, which I do pretty much every day, I have no cooling problems andrun around 170* ( i think previous owner put in a lower t stat?)

No discharging problems with new OEM alternator.

I noticed the difference, on a pretty stock mustang(just had 3.55s at the time). Enough so that it made driving the car a new experience(you know when u just cant wait to get back in and drive it.)

With just the pullies and gears I ran 14.402.

i put the bbk pullies on my 94 conv. and have had no problems. the only thing is that at idles it does feel like its discharging, but has never killed the battery or died on my. and i live in bullhead city AZ, it gets like 120 here during summer and i have a stock alt. and a ghetto brass radiator that was made in mexico and i have had no temp problems. and ul feel a little difference between mid rpms.

Default More Underdrive Pulley questions

I'm Intrested as well. My front crank pulley is FUBAR and will need replacing. I pulling the AC, But will be Driving the Car to the track and then running it full bore for 15 min to 1 hour do you think this will cause any heating problems with a fresh stock radaitor?

It seems like some people have problems and others dont, i still dont know if im going to get them because like i said before is that i have a very demanding sound system in the car, granted im not playing it at full volume all the time but i think the combination will kill my alternator. maybe i can look into geting a bigger alternator and then getting them, do you think that would solve the problem?
