Ordering New X Pipe Quick Question

Default Ordering New X Pipe Quick Question

i am wanting to order a new x pipe for my car and switching from a h pipe but i have equal length headers in the car would i order the pipe for shorty headers because all i see on summit is shorty and full-length? they are MAC equal length headers

shorty and equal length have the same bolt on dimmentions....so ones listed for shorties will work just fine for your equal length

well the h pipe i have right now has dual cats on each side and not hi flow either and i want something that is loud, and im trying to get the car as loud as possible so if anybody has any other suggestions? lol i have 2 1/2in with flowmaster 44 series mufflers

well i just purchased the flowmaster 44 series mufflers and i like the sound just trying to get it a bit louder

Personally, I think the H-pipes sound better. X-pipes sound too much like a Corvette.
Install an H or X pipe, remove the tailpipes and put turndowns on the end of the mufflers. It will sound good then.

sorry for asking a probably stupid question just making sure i understand this correctly after the mufflers take out the tailpipes and just put tips that turn down? will that sould better?

ya, either cut off your tail pipes after your muffler, or put turn downs on. That really does change the sound of the car, i was suprised and quite pleased when i did mine.
