Bought a 95 GT vert from a widow a week ago and am learning what has been done to the car by the "passed" husband. The valet button - I'm assuming that's what it is - on the steering column very low- is required to be held to start the car - sometimes.It does have remote entry as well.
It is the factory alarm system- I found the box in the drivers kick panel showing the label 1-800-ford-key. This mystery switch has 2 small guage brown wires- 1 connecting to the Ford box - and the other to ground.
Car will start at times without pressing this switch.
The alarm system doesn't beep the horn or flash the lights when activating the double lock on the keyless remote fob either or HAVE a flashing dash "armed" light .
Can the valet feature be turned off? And can the alarm settings be changed back to blink lights,horn,armed light etc?
