I;ve got an 85 GT vert and the seat belts just seem useless. When your driving they loosen up seomtimes and you have to tug them to have it roll back up and get tight. I just feel like there not doing much and i want to have a set up safe seat belts since the cars going to be a daily driver soon. What would you recommend i do, or what to look for to fix it?

50 resto has new seat belts, im not sure for an 85, but check them out

that means thet're worn out, your cheapest bet is going to a junkyard and finding some, or you could buy the set from 50resto(i think) for like 3-400 bucks[&:]

i got an 85 LX 5.0 covert and there the same way....just deal with it if you can......but i only drive mine a few miles hear and there...non daily driver....but when i do...just enough so the damn police see that i have one on.........+1

ya i cant deal with it, i mean thats not the problem. I just want to make sure there safe if i can, thats all, ill check a junkyard though, see what i can find there. Thanks.

yeah i have been driving like that for 3 years now and have just gotten used to it. when i have the money ill buy new ones and this car is my daily driver
