my buddy came over and we found the problem...my smog pump delete thing is totally f*cked...so the belt jumped off, i lost all power components, and it hit an anti-freeze line thats why im leaking it....fun fun fun

so tmrw its off to autozone to get a smaller belt as a quick fix...then i will order a new smog eliminator from 50resto, along with a new tensioner, and put the bigger belt back on..
the smog eliminator pulley works great.. that's what I used and no more belt issues and it has a real clean look to it also
which one should i get?

when i started it to move it from the street to my driveway, didn't notice any smoke at all, which made me happy...its now sitting in my driveway, still leaking antifreeze..

so tomorrow im going to autozone telling them i need a belt for a 89 5.0 mustang with no A/C..then i'll run that belt on everything but the busted smog eliminator; will be a quick fix untill i get the new eliminator..then ill put some antifreeze in it, and limp it up to the shop i go to and have them fix the line that the anti-freeze is leaking from

You sure that belt will work? I used a Gatorback belt 770K6 when I removed my smog pump. It is close between the idler and waterpump, but works fine. Mine's been on about 6 months with no problems.

Hope you didn't hurt anything too badly when it heated up.......250 is pretty damn high, and if it was pegged at it the temp was probably even higher.....
