hey guys, i need to get my power steering pump pulley off my old power steering pump to get the housing off to put on the new power steering pump, I have a new pulley for it so i dont care about the old one. Does anyone know how I can do this without damaging the housing for the power steering pump? thank you in advance for any help, and please dont tell me to go get a power steering pump puller because the closest place i can get one is over an hour away and i need to get it off now

Go to auto zone and rent a puller/installer. You'll need one to install the new one as well as removing the old one.

Oh sorry, didn't read the last line. Yeah, that will work. I would get a piece of allthread, screw it down into the pump shaft, then use the nut w/ washers to run the pulley down. Otherwise you'll need a couple of different length bolts to do it. As for taking off the old one, I've never prim pete'd one. Always used the right tools.

ya me too just dont have a way of getting the right tool right now and i need my car tonight lol. also i got an ac eleminator kit and thats why im switching all this out but i cant find out how the two plates work together i can only find out how one bults up. i got the kit that completly deletes the ac without a freely spinning pulley its this kit
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...1&comp=LRS
I didnt get this kit just because it was one of the cheepest kits I got it because I thought it would look stupid with a free spinning pulley. do you know how the silver plate goes on? the kit didnt come with any instructions or diagrams and even after i get the new power steering pump hooked up i dont know how that works together
