Default Typhoon Intake

thoughts? i have an opportunity to buy a used Edelbrock Performer 5.0 for 300+ shipping (1500-5500 powerband) or get a brand new Typhoon Intake for 284.95 + 30 bucks shipping(1500-6500) powerband...

i like the higher powerband of the Typhoon...the lone thing that turns me off about the Edelbrock is the limit at 5500..when i do HCI, i don't want to have to change out my manifold

i've heard of port problems on the Typhoon..is it something i can handle with some Emory Paper and smooth out?

can i just bolt the Typhoon on, no problems?

what do you guys think i should do?

I'm going with the Typhoon when I get the money. It is basically the old Performer RPM before they swtiched to the RPMII that is kind of a copy of the Track Heat and the old Vortec manifold.
It should be easy to clean up any casting imperfections since it comes apart in 3 pieces.
