Default Mcleod Clutch Users

Anyone around here running one? Im looking at there regular street series stuff. I had a spec stage 2+ but after pulling the trans out the disc doesnt have much life left and ive only had it like a year.. So ive narrowed it down to Mcleod and RAM.. no CF.. opinions on either clutch are welcomed!

Spec are supposed to have good longetivity, did you drive it hard or slip it too much?

I'm running a McLeod hydraulic clutch setup with a Wilwood m/c, and it's very issue free, so I imagine their clutches are good quality as well. And why not CF clutches? And if your Spec wore out after barely a year then you either have your clutch adjusted wrong, don't know how to drive a stick, or had the wrong clutch.

I have had a couple Rams and I won't buy anything else. I have a 98794T in my car now and it is great. I have never personally owned a McCleod but some of my friends have in Chevy's and have had no problems.

The spec clutches do not have much material above the rivets when new. When i pulled my engine to have it machined to a one piece rear main i had the same concern as you. I call spec to ask how thick it should be, it was something in the thousands. I measured mine and it was just shy of that. The material that's used doesn't wear much.
